Đong đường nâu vào 1 cái cốc lớn, sau đó cho nước tương, nước, giấm gạo, tương ớt, dầu mè, tiêu, gừng băm, tỏi băm vào. Dùng phới lồng đánh cho tan hết đường.

Cho hỗn hợp vào 1 cái nồi, bắc nồi lên bếp, đun sôi với lửa vừa, sau đó giảm nhiệt độ và đun trong 30 phút, liên tục khuấy đều. Trộn bột bắp với 1 muỗng canh nước, khuấy tan rồi cho vào nồi.
